One word list. Tested, graded, and recorded in one place.
Most homeschool families follow the same rhythm: practice spelling words through the week, then test on Friday. The testing and record-keeping are the parts that get tedious — dictating words aloud, marking each answer by hand, and writing scores into a notebook or spreadsheet that lives separately from everything else.
Ezergrade™ handles that whole testing step. You enter or upload your spelling word list once, and Ezergrade delivers the test, grades every answer automatically, and stores the result in one grade record — by student, by word, by date. It is not a spelling curriculum and it is not a practice game. It is the honest assessment layer that sits alongside whatever spelling program you already use.
From a single word list, you can give the test in whichever way fits your week — without re-entering anything:
Every mode feeds the same grade record, so a paper test for your youngest and a typed test for your oldest land in one place. See the full workflow on the How It Works page.
Ezergrade grades each answer with an exact match against your word list. The capitalization rule is forgiving in the right way: all-lowercase is accepted, a capitalized first letter is accepted, and other capitalization is marked wrong. Blank answers are flagged clearly. Grading is objective — your student spelled the word or they did not.
Crucially, Honest Input™ is active during the test: autocorrect, autocomplete, autocapitalize, and spellcheck are all disabled on the answer field. Without it, a phone or laptop quietly fixes a misspelling before it is submitted, and you get a score that reflects the device rather than your child. Honest Input™ is how you know the result is real.
For homeschool families — and especially co-ops coordinating several families — keeping a clean record across the year is half the work. Ezergrade stores every result automatically:
You can export results to CSV — one row per student with their number, name, score, percentage, and every word-answer pair — for your own portfolio, an umbrella school, or a co-op administrator.
Ezergrade is strongest once a student can independently type or write spelling answers — typically Grades 1–8. For Kindergarten and early learners not yet ready for independent digital testing, the paper and teacher-led audio dictation modes let you run an early phonics or spelling check the traditional way, while still keeping the result in the same record.
Because Ezergrade is complementary to your curriculum, it works no matter which spelling program you teach from. You practice however you already do — and test honestly on Ezergrade.
